Partnership, Sponsorship and
Marketing Opportunities
It takes the efforts of many to make LEADERSHIP GERMANTOWN such a successful program.  Each session of the program delights and enlightens the class with a full 8 hours of activities, networking and orientation.  During this time, there are numerous opportunities for businesses to sponsor breakfast, lunch,  transportation and the like.  Your business would then be listed prominently in the day's agenda, mentioned throughtout the day and featured in the program at graduation.  Patrons, Sponsors and Donors are recognized on the web site accordingly.  For more information, contact Donna Chandler Newman at 901-861-9676.

Building a Better Community Award
There are some companies and organizations that seem to always be there to help out the community.,  Each year, LEADERSHIP GERMANTOWN honors one such company or organization with the Building a Better Community Award.  The award recognizes the giving nature and concern for the community that goes beyond "business as usual".  It honors a company or organization that particulartly demonstrates its LEADERSHIP with a love for the City and people of Germantown, a willingness to step out and support community events and programs, and the ability to initiate posititve change through their supportive contribution.

The 2009 winner of the Building a Better Community Award
was the Germantown Area Chamber of Commerce

In 1995, the Chamber co-founded the Leadership Germantown program along with the City of Gerrmantown, and has tirelessly worked to make the LEADERSHIP program a success.  President and CEO, Pat Scroggs, was a member of the first LEADERSHIP class, the Class of 1996, and has served on the Leadership Germantown Board of Directors for 12 years, guiding and championing the program.  During this time, the Chamber took on the challenge of administrating the program. From 2006 - 2009 Susan Volmer, Chamber Office Manager, was chief administrator and now serves on the 2010 LEADERSHIP Board of Directors.  Amy Barringer, 2009 Chairman of the Chamber Board of Directors has served on the LEADERSHIP Board of the Directors since 2008.

Besides its outstanding support of the LEADERSHIP GERMANTOWN program, the Germantown Area Chamber of Commerce greatly supports City of Germantown events such as the Germantown Holiday Parade, concerts in the park and Mardi-Dogs parade.  As well as being the very respected voice of an active area business community, the Chamber also produces special events for the benefit of the entire community including Tax-Free Weekend, the Holiday Tour of Homes, the Germantown Business Expo and the Taste of the Town.  In addition, the Chamber publishes the beautiful and informative Germantown Magazine.

For these things and more, the Germantown Area Chamber of Commerce is a beloved and deserving recipient of LEADERSHIP GERMANTOWN's first annual Building a Better Community Award.
Our Partners make a significant investment in LEADERSHIP GERMANTOWN and we appreciate their contribution to our community.
